Trimbach Gewurtztraminer 2001 SGN

Half bottle. Apricots, white peach, lemon, rose and beeswax. A wine with unreal depth and rich, concentrated fruits on the palate. Brilliantly balanced by the zesty acidity with such power and fullness. Decadence in a bottle. These rare nectars have an unrivalled aromatic intensity and can improve for decades after decades.

About Trimbach
Unquestionably one of the greatest names in Alsace, the Trimbach family, based in the picturesque town of Ribeauvillé, has been involved in making wine since 1626 and has, over 13 generations, built an enviable reputation for the quality of its entire range. From the Pinot Blanc through to the iconic Clos Sainte Hune Riesling, the wines are considered the benchmark for quality, consistency and style. The essence of Trimbach, with the obvious exception of the luscious VT and SGN wines, is the traditional dry style in which the wines are made. Many Alsace houses are today making rather clumsy wines with an element of sweetness that detracts from their food matching suitability; not so with Trimbach, whose wines are pure, vibrant and refreshing. It is no accident that the Trimbach wines are listed in every single one of the 26 Three Michelin Star restaurants in France, and are present on the very best restaurant wine lists across the globe.
