Vouvray Didier Champalou 2009 Cuvee Trie de Vendange

Medium-bodied, elegant yet very intense, astonishingly sweet and rich, but not a bit cloying. Honeyed, peachy botrytis-influenced, fruit amazingly succulent and complex with an extraordinary ageing ability.

About Didier Champalou
Catherine and Didier Champalou are two of the most dynamic growers in Vouvray who have gradually built up an impressive 19-hectare domaine, planted solely with Chenin Blanc. Their aim is to bring out the maximum expression of character from the grape while reflecting the different terroirs on which the vines are planted. Harvesting is manual and selective to give the optimum maturity and balance of fruit. The wines are vinified and bottled in a cave, with maturation in both tank and barrique depending on the vintages.
